Finding Me!

Who are we?

Jen's Birthday Anniversary Celebration [2022]
"Aging is just another word for living." -Cindy Joseph
I think finding ourselves is getting harder and harder to do with all these distractions that are constantly surrounding us. If we look around, what do we see, TV's, computers, laptops, phones, a job, school, married life, parenthood, etc... So how do we expect to find ourselves in all that chaos?
If you were lucky growing-up to have parents, see a spark in you and helped nourish it by tipping your young toes into many extracurricular activities then you're already ahead of millions of people like me. You've probably already found yourself, your purpose in life. Whilst they found themselves, the rest of us are still on the search to find our purpose, the spiritual meaning of why we, in particular, are here.
Things I've learned on my journey to where I am:
-Being pretty isn't about what you look like on the outside.
-I have this innate attitude of waiting for tomorrow to change bad habits.
-Consistency and I do not always see eye-to-eye.
-Cooking is enemy number one.
-A good movie or show, a nice pillow, and sleeping kids motivates me to keep their bedtime consistent.
-Sugar Rush is not just a game in, 'Wreck-it Ralph,' but a main food group in our life.
-I am always in the pursuit of knowledge, so the more I learn, the more I want to share with everyone in hopes to wake
them up.
-Sometimes my brain and my mouth race and my mouth loses every time.
-Parenthood is hard but their beautiful innocent souls make it 100x worth it.
-The head of the household is the man, but the neck is the woman, and she can turn the head to the left or right.
Making everything fall on the lap of the woman which can be overwhelming at times.
-Knowledge really is power.
-Reading is important, but the wrong book can be detrimental.
-The importance of health means more than eating right, exercising, and taking supplements, but also taking time to
inhale and exhale, self-care, spiritual care and positive self-talk.
-This inner urge to learn something new and excel, --an instrument, dancing, a sport, etc... -- continues to envelop me.
-Forgiveness isn't for the person that hurt you but for yourself.
-Patience is truly a virtue that I have yet to perfect.
There is more knowledge for me to gain out there in this big world and yet there is so little time to attain it all. From the little I do know, the thing I hope most for my children to takeaway would be that there are more good people in the world than evil, when things look like they're getting really bad the honest and brave will always standup for true justice, and their veins run deep with both bravery and honesty.
